Croileagan,
Obar Dheathain
(Playgroup,
Aberdeen)
Hello and welcome to the
web page for our Parent and Toddler group, for children from
birth to three.
We are the only Gaelic
parent and toddler group in the North-East of Scotland (English is also
spoken). The session is open to all speakers and non-speakers of
Gaelic.
The group meets every
Monday, Wednesday and Friday (during term time) in the General
Purposes Room of Gilcomstoun Primary School.
We meet at 9.15am and
the children have half an hour of free play, then our playleader will
help the children with crafts / drawing / painting. Around 10.30am a
snack will be provided for the children, followed by some more free
play. Our playleader will sing some Gaelic nursery rhymes with the
children and finish the session with a story. The playleader will also
be able to go over basic Gaelic words with the children (such as numbers
and colours). The session ends at approx. 11.20am.
Tea and coffee are
available free of charge for parents throughout the session.
In addition, any parents
who are interested in learning, or improving their, Gaelic are welcome
to attend a parent’s class which is held at Croileagan every Wednesday
from 9am.
